The space age, hence the alien and the ufos.

Jukebox, Mc Donals was first opened, the syringe because of the cure for polio.

The vintage car is obvious, marilyn monroe, robot, teenage werewolf, and everything else.

Plus the colors are old and dull looking to add to the old effect.
